Android 1.6 Platform Highlights | Android Developers

The next release of Android has taken a step forward.  The 1.6 (Cupcake) release is out to developer and rumored to hit phones in October.  I think the pace Android is on with updates will mean that the core system will eventually outpace Apple and once the Market developers start switching, it’ll make a major more towards Android.  It seems manufacturers just can’t pass up a free, well develop mobile platform for their devices.
